Vallourec Thumb up for Changzhou Customs

Tan Xiaodong, Plant Manager of Vallourec (China) Co., Ltd., accompanied by Gao Feng, the Deputy Director of Binkai District Economic and Social Development Bureau, has sent a grateful banner to Li Hao, Changzhou Customs Deputy Commissioner, appreciating Changzhou Custom’s help. 

Around the Spring Festival this year, Changzhou plant imported a batch of hot-rolled seamless steel pipe from Italy. It had difficulties in clea2ring customs at the import because the enterprises was not familiar with the existing regulations and procedures.

Li Hao, Changzhou Customs Deputy Commissioner, led the Inspection Department to the enterprise site after learning about the situation. They started to know the production process and warranty inspection process after the hot-rolled seamless steel pipe went to the factory. Later, they transferred and checked the procurement contracts, sales contracts, invoices, etc., and informed the follow-up relevant certification materials that the enterprise needed to provide. After communicating with Changzhou Customs and the Special Prosecutor’s Court and consulting relevant testimonial materials and other processes, the Plant has successfully completed the customs clearance and entered the production stage. This action brings real economic benefits to the enterprise and avoids unnecessary loss of high compensation due to the failure for products delivery on time.
