Vallourec further involving in project of 1,450-meter Deep-sea gas fields
In early 2021, Chinese independently developed natural gas project with 1,500-meter water depth was put into production.

Vallourec has been further involved in supporting the construction of Chinese Deep-sea No.1 since 2019. At the beginning of the project, Vallourec Oil & Gas technical experts from OCTG Division participated Lingshui 17-2 well design.
Provide professional advice on pipe material selection and connection performance requirement. During the tender, VOGC（Vallourec Oil & Gas China） won all the orders on the 13 3/8” and 9 5/8“ premium connection casings. And the customer feedback was extremely positive.
Serimax service team, was responsible for the 6’SCR pipe welding project of the Deep-sea pipeline of No.17-2 gas field in Lingshui. The operation of project has enabled CNOOC to make significant promotion in water depth from 300-meter to 1,500-meter.
Deep-sea No.1 is the first 100,000-ton semi-submersible oil and gas exploitation, production and storage platform in the world, which has achieved three world initiations and 13 international initiations. Only for the welding seamless tube of engineering, its length runs up to 600,000 meters that may surround Beijing 6th Ring Road for three times.
After recognizing the challenge facing by Chinese first deep-water project, we have undertaken much of the necessary preparatory work for the project since Q4 in 2019, and taken measures to address all related technical issues. In the uncertain situation during Covid-19, the last SCR installation project has been completed in early 2021 by CNOOC.
