Vallourec carried out post-holiday resumption safety trainings

In order to strengthen the safety management and adjust the status of managers and operators after the holiday, Vallourec has carried out a series of safety training for the resumption of work!

On February 18, Mr. Robert Li, Vallourec Tianda Chuzhou General Manager, personally deployed a series of safety trainings for resumption of work and led the management to conduct safety inspections on upstream and downstream plants.

The training mainly focuses on the safety management of the Upstream Production Department, the Downstream Plant, the Maintenance Department, and the Quality Department, aiming to eliminate the potential safety hazards during the holiday and ensure that the plant’s safety management work in the new year is a good start. Mr. Robert Li said: The plant’s safety management is like a net, everyone is a node on the network, everyone pays attention to safety can make this net play an impotent role in protecting the safety of employees. In fact, Vallourec has always regarded safety as a priority.

On the same day, Vallourec Tianda Changzhou plant also carried out safety training for resumption of work after the holiday. The training focuses on the eight dangerous operations of resuming work, the four status of return after the holiday, the five blind spots of safety management, and the five methods to focuses on the work after the holiday and combining with accident cases, aiming to ensure the safety production of the plant.

Mr. Phil Xi, Vallourec Tianda Changzhou Plant Manager, asked all departments of the plant to firmly establish the awareness that “inadequate safety training is the major hazard”, accurately grasp the characteristics of safety production resumption after the holiday, fully understand the importance of safety training for the resumption work, and earnestly grasp the safety training of all employees after the holiday, so as to prevent the occurrence of various accidents.

From May 16, 2023 to June 2, 2023, Vallourec launched an 18-day Safety Day Activity aimed at steadily promoting safety throughout the plant and working together to create a safe and harmonious working environment.

Philippe Guillemot, Chairman and CEO of Vallourec, also said: “Safety is the premise of our work and the guarantee of our lives. We advocate to adopt the “12 Life-Saving Rules” to help us avoid potential risks at work and to protect ourselves and others in production!” It is worth mentioning that Vallourec’s “12 Life-Saving Rules” have now been accepted by our partners, key customers and the International Association of Oil and Gas Developers (IOGP).


Accidents are occur frequently on the resumption of work after the holiday. Safety and life is more important than Mount Tai. In order to prevent the occurrence of production safety accidents, Vallourec will definitely take the “first lesson” of safety production, so as to ensure that the project is safe and the work are controllable.
