VCHA completes the delivery of the BASF Project

01/25/2024

Located on Donghai Island in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, BASF-Zhanjiang Verbund Site is the first wholly foreign-owned project in China’s heavy chemical industry with a planned area of about 9 square kilometers and an estimated total investment of EUR 10 billion. The design life reaches 50 years, which is much higher than the 15-year design life of domestic refining and chemical enterprises, which means that the requirements for suppliers are extremely high.

In September 2022, the BASF visited our plant for the first time, the contract was signed in August 2023, the two parties have communicated for nearly a year. In order to meet the customer’s requirements for delivery time, VCHA has developed a detailed production plan and taken a series of effective measures to improve production efficiency. At the same time, our plant strengthens communication with customers, timely feedback on production progress, and ensures that customers have a comprehensive grasp of the project progress. In particular, the requirements for documents in this project are particularly strict and complex, the Quality Department has carried out several online and offline communications with BASF and the general contractor, and finally submitted a satisfactory answer, which has won the trust and recognition of customers.

The delivery of this project not only means an important breakthrough for VCHA in the field of high-end petrochemical equipment, but also further strengthens the cooperative relationship with BASF. This cooperation has established a good reputation for VCHA and also laid a solid foundation for the company’s further development in the field of high-end petrochemical equipment.
